Steve Mattern graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, where he studied Business Administration and was deeply involved at the Newman Center. During his time at UNL, he developed a strong interest in leadership, fundraising, and organizational growth.

Steve has more than a decade of experience serving nonprofits, parishes, and dioceses nationwide. He spent four years with The Steier Group, guiding feasibility studies and capital campaigns that helped organizations clarify vision, assess donor capacity, and secure transformational gifts.

Steve is currently the Chief Operating Officer of GolfStatus, helping nonprofits raise funds through golf technology. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Matt Talbot Kitchen and Outreach.
